FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DOES STEARNS FINANCIAL STRUCTURE ITS CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS?

Each client has a strong personal relationship with one or more senior advisors. Our advisors lead teams with areas of experience which are dictated by each client’s need.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ACCOUNT SIZE?

Our clients are at various stages of their lives. Most have $2 to over $30 million in total assets with typically $1 million or more in investable assets. We relax our minimum for clients who are building their wealth and initially choose our financial planning process.

HOW ARE YOUR FEES STRUCTURED?

Our fees are entirely transparent and are dependent on services provided. We structure our wealth management and investment management fees as a percent of managed assets and are billed quarterly.

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF YOUR ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT?

Stearns manages over $1.8 billion (as of 12/31/21) in client assets. Your portfolio will be constructed based on strategic and tactical asset allocations determined by daily analysis of worldwide financial markets. We have a dedicated research team who has access to a broad range of resources in the industry. We maintain an open architecture platform to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.

HOW DO YOU MAKE INVESTMENT DECISIONS?

We have an experienced investment committee who collaborates to develop strategies & tactics that focus on growth, income and risk management. The team creates not only the strategic asset allocation, based on client risk profiles and longer-term asset class projections but also employs tactical changes in response to shorter term events with the goal of adding value and/or better managing risk.

WHERE ARE CLIENT ASSETS HELD?

Stearns Financial is an independent-minded, fee-only investment advisory firm. Client assets are held at one of our recommended custodians, such as Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
